Meet the team at Pam Golding Properties in St Francis Bay and Cape St Francis.

Pam Golding St Francis Bay

Pam Golding St Francis BayHi, I am Richard Arderne, franchisee and principal of Pam Golding Properties – St Francis Bay
I was born & brought up in PE (Walmer), with many visits to the Kromme & St Francis in the 1960’s.

After St Georges, then St Andrews (Grahamstown), a gap year in Holland, I graduated in 1980 with a Stellenbosch civil engineering degree. After two years in the Navy, I obtained my registration as a Professional Engineer in 1985, working on a motorway in Glasgow. In 1986 I moved into property development, including a stint as director of Faircape, in Cape Town. In 2001, I joined Peter Golding at Pam Golding Commercial, starting a new business unit, UK commercial property syndication.

I was fortunate to marry to Jane (Purdy) in 1985, whose parents bought in St Francis in 1970, so all our holidays were spent here. Jane has been a successful artist, and co-owner of Bug Zoo Children’s Clothing (1993 – 2003).
We had three sons whilst living in our home in Llandudno, Cape Town for 17 years, where I tried hard at surfskiing. I was tolerated on the Llandudno Squash Club committee for many years, likewise on the Llandudno Primary School committee.

In 2005, Jane & I purchased the Pam Golding Properties – St Francis Bay franchise. Pam Golding had been run by a previous franchisee since 1995 in the old village centre, but I found a new premises at the entrance to St Francis, opposite the St Francis Links gate, and have been there ever since.

After first renting a front row home overlooking Hulett’s Reef, we bought a home in Cape St Francis. After three years we sold and moved to the canals, where we have recently built a new home, with canals both sides!
It made sense to use my love of sport as our primary marketing tool, as St Francis has so much to offer on the sporting front and we want to share that … one is not merely selling a house, but a lifestyle, and sport is very much part of our lifestyle. Organising and sponsoring sporting events means a lot to our business: these events bring feet into St Francis, especially during the quiet times.

Our boys really enjoyed Woodridge and St Francis, learning to wakeboard, surf, kiteboard, and enjoy all aspects of the St Francis lifestyle. They have now all followed me to the Stellenbosch engineering faculty!

Pam Golding St Francis BayHi I am Jane Arderne, wife of Richard, franchisee of Pam Golding Properties, St Francis Bay.
I was born in Johannesburg and we were lucky enough to buy a small plot in 1967 in St Francis Bay – Laura Rd, which was barely a jeep track at the time. My parents, Margaret and Derek Purdy built our holiday cottage soon after – we were the first house to have a rounded window.. state of the art design at the time! This became our bi-annual journey from Jo’burg, to spend as much time as we could, in a small coastal village that had very little in the way of sophisticated amenities, but was a truly special destination.

I was at school at Kingsmead in Johannesburg and then chose to move to DSG in Grahamstown, which I loved, surrounded by farms and wonderful weekend opportunities. I studied Graphic Design at UCT followed by Photography in Pretoria. We lived in Scotland for a year after we were married then a good stint in Johannesburg where I developed a successful business painting and printing children’s posters, calendars and alphabets, and these sold worldwide to my surprise. Soon after we moved to Llandudno, Cape Town in 1989, I started Bug Zoo Children’s Clothing with a partner and we had a very dynamic business with stores in Cape Town, Johannesburg, London.. and agents around the world.

Since we moved to St Francis Bay as permanent residents in 2005, I have been active as an agent and a support to Richard in the Pam Golding Properties business, as well as being the bookkeeper. Our three sons have kept me busy and I have been lucky to spend time recently renovating our Llandudno home, Two Berry House, which is a successful guest villa and keeps me busy, as well as remaining a home for us when we visit our boys in Cape Town. My love for photography and design has made this a wonderful project.

Following on from this was the purchase of our canal plot and project managing the building of our new house. This was a very satisfying project and again appealed to all of my artistic instincts.
St Francis Bay offers us a spectacular lifestyle, with water and nature surrounding us. We also believe that it’s the right place for visiting children (and grand-children one day!).. the demand for property is extraordinary as people realize the value of a gentle lifestyle.

Pam Golding St Francis BayHi I am Lois Fox, Pam Golding Gold Club Agent for the beautiful holiday mecca of St Francis Bay.

I schooled and grew up in Durban and the north coast of Natal. After a visit to the area on the way to Cape Town in 1969, my parents bought a plot in the pristine village of Cape St Francis and built a holiday cottage very soon after that. This was our introduction to the area and I have since spent every Christmas on holiday here until 12 years ago when we moved permanently. A personal record of 46 Christmas days in a row!

After schooling at Northlands Girls High School in Durban North, I attended Natal Training College in Pietermaritzburg where I completed a four year diploma in teaching. Although trained as a teacher, it soon became apparent that marketing and sales was my passion and for a large portion of my working career I was with Canon Office Automation in Durban firstly in direct sales and then for the latter part as Sales Manager and in training and selection of sales staff.

I married Neil Fox in 1994 and soon after had two sons Grant and Andrew. We made a decision to relocate here for a lifestyle change and sent our boys to Woodridge College which is one of the best decisions we ever made. Neil and I were involved with the start-up of an injection moulding company in St Francis and after two and a half years we sold our interest to a corporate and found ourselves in a position to look at other options. Richard Arderne, the franchise holder in St Francis Bay had planted the seed about joining Pam Golding and for months had encouraged me to join him. I eventually took the plunge and found that there was a place for me in this market and I could continue with my unique style of building relationships with people.

I have been very blessed with a successful career in property sales thus far and was proud to be able to make Gold Club from the very first year of sale. In the last six years I have been in the Gold Club elite top 10 in our region (Eastern Cape/Garden Route/Karoo) and am on track to achieve Gold Club Status again this year. This will notch up nine years of Pam Golding Properties Gold Club status in a row. I have been fortunate to conclude a number of big sales, eg a record R11m on the beachfront, and a number on the canals over R5m. I focus particularly on the village area, where I have made 20 sales in the last 24 months.

I live in Cape St Francis and enjoy the quieter life, finding time to relax, enjoy the water aerobics at Liquid Lines, watch my favourite series on TV as the work load of our business is quite challenging. Each and every deal is important to me no matter what the size or the commission and I find that with this ethos everything falls into place on its own.

Pam Golding St Francis BayHi, I am Neil and I have been with Pam Golding Properties for over 8 years. I hold my NQF4 in Real Estate. I focus on property sales in the pristine holiday village of Cape St Francis and farms/smallholdings in the Kromme River area along the Oyster Bay Road.
Prior to beginning my career in Real Estate I held a Director position with a Chemical and Engineering business for 26 years. My decision to move to Cape St Francis 12 years ago was one of the easiest decisions I have made. After spending numerous holidays here, my wife, Lois, & I ultimately took the decision to develop our own property here & for the last 12 years we have been fortunate to call this home.

Through the years I have developed an in-depth knowledge of the local market and formed valued relationships with the residents. I have an intimate understanding of my client’s needs and what drives their property purchasing decision. My developed expertise over years has equipped me with the insight to understand what influences the value of the local property market. It brings me great pride in sharing this knowledge and expertise with my clients, and playing an integral role in their investment choice. It is an honour to live and work in this pristine village, my passion for people and interaction is reinforced on a daily basis.

I have 3 sons ranging from 20 to 29 who have all enjoyed schooling & growing up in the Eastern Cape. They attended Woodridge College and furthered their studies in Durban & Stellenbosch.

During my personal time, I enjoy mountain biking and have competed in numerous Eastern & Western Cape racing events, not even being a 62 year old senior citizen will slow me down. I am a fellow supporter of our local & national rugby and cricket teams & enjoy entertaining friends and family over a braai and good red wine. When the time allows I enjoy traveling to remote destinations in the Eastern Cape.

Pam Golding St Francis BayHi, I am Krystal and I have been fortunate to be a part of the Pam Golding Properties family in St Francis Bay since June 2015. I started as an assistant in the rentals team with Emily Obray, who I have known since the young age of 17. My friendship with Emily first brought me into the area over 11 years ago, where I enjoyed holidays with their family and friends. It was not hard to fall in love with this town which I am now so lucky to call home. I now live with my partner in Cape St Francis and in my spare time I love to make the most of our beautiful surroundings by walking our Parson Terrier Kira in and around the nature trails and magnificent coastline.

I have spent my working life in sales and the service industry, most recently three years travelling the globe as a first class flight attendant for a Middle Eastern airline. I have faced many different and diverse challenges throughout my working career which I believe have provided me with the adequate skills and dedication it takes to be a committed and key member of the Pam Golding St Francis team. With Emily recently moving to sales, I have now taken over holiday rentals. Our boutique holiday rentals department focuses on top quality rentals in St Francis Bay, Cape St Francis and surrounding areas. My passion is delivering a service which exceeds expectations.

Pam Golding St Francis BayI am Emily and I have been with Pam Golding Properties since 2012. I managed the Holiday Rentals for the last 3 years before recently moving to Sales, and am now responsible for Santareme and the Port. It’s a big challenge, but one I know I am capable of. I was lucky enough to make two sales in my first month!

My husband and I spent 10 years working in the UK, and during this time we were very fortunate to spend two holiday seasons in St Francis whilst visiting family. Shortly after the arrival of our two children whilst still in the UK, we realised this beautiful town was perfect for our family. In 2011, we decided to take the big leap to move over and have never looked back! My husband started his own business in the building industry and I joined Pam Golding Properties. We own a lovely home in Cape St Francis, close to the Wild Side. We are both active members in our community and have made an abundance of friends in our new home town. My husband is a committed member of the local NSRI, which often means being called out at all hours! Working and living in a holiday town brings many opportunities to meet many people, it is a joy to be part of such a diverse community!

During my years working on Holiday Rentals, I have seen St Francis grow remarkably in popularity as a holiday destination. Due to this extraordinary demand, holiday homes are extremely sought-after, especially for Christmas and New Year rentals. To maintain a successful balance requires great skill and dedication to achieve year on year success, which we managed to do, with good growth in our holiday rental performance. This is something I have positively embraced during my time at Pam Golding Properties, where phenomenal pride and great team support are prominent. All this, along with the backing of a superior brand, has moulded me into the vibrant, knowledgeable and confident person I have become today!

Pam Golding St Francis BayHi, I am Leandie and I am the newest member to the Pam Golding Properties team in St Francis Bay.

Having recently joined the Real Estate industry I am committed to embracing my new chosen career and use every opportunity to learn all I can about the industry.

My love for St Francis Bay grew in my youth when our family often visited here on holiday. I have such fond memories of us in our family caravan, spending almost every school holiday here. It was second nature for me to make St Francis Bay my home.

Every day is a holiday in St Francis Bay, and the residents have welcomed me with open arms. With the small community of locals, I quickly felt right at home and am able to call them my family. It is a privilege to be part of a caring community, knowing I have their support and assistance whenever needed.

I look forward to many years with Pam Golding Properties, meeting diverse people from exotic places around the world, or even the new local residence. I endeavour to make their stay as warm as the welcome I received on my arrival.

Quote: Every day is a holiday in St Francis Bay!
