Chantel has been in the hair industry since 2001. She finished her hairdressing diploma at Durban Technical College. She won all my categories in the EOHCB (Employees Organization of Hairdressing and Cosmetology Board) hair competition as a 2nd year apprentice. Her coarse entailed science of hair and skin, cutting and styling as well as chemistry of colour and other hair chemicals. It took her 3and a half years to complete part time.
Further on Chantel was in the team that won the Loreal colour trophy in 2003. The Loreal colour trophy is like the Oscar awards for hairdressing. One of the most sought after awards in their industry.
Thereafter she moved to Pretoria and joined the Gary Rom hairdressing group where she was involved with training and show work like SA Fashion week.
Gary Rom owns one of the biggest salon groups in SA and is renowned for his service excellence and professional approach to hair care. He is also an ambassador for The Loreal Group and travels all over to educate professionals.
Chantel was also stylist to Claudia Henkel Miss SA and led the creative team for Miss SA From 2006 to 2010, as well as the former Mrs South Africa, Anette Kasselman. Some local Celebs she styled included 7de Laan cast, Nadine, Arno, Jordaan, Jannie Moolman, Tamara Dey, as well as Oscar Pistorius, Donnalee Roberts and Faith Tv’s, Pastor Juda and Lee van Staden.
Chantel then joined Skin PHD where she built up a substantial client base. Chantel sees herself as an innovative, creative stylist always trying to stay relative. She specializes in hair extensions as well as bridal hair and make-up which is her passion.
